ABL Swivel Links

ABL Services, Inc. manufactures swivel links for rigging applications with several improvements over OEM and other manufacturers products.  Most manufacturers’ assemblies use a cast ball and socket cavity.  This process allows excessive clearance and a rough contact surface that normally cannot be rebuilt.  ABL swivel links are bushed in the pin end and the ball and socket is a separate assembly that is welded in the bore in the opposite end.  The units can usually be rebuilt many times by replacing the bushing and bosses as well as the ball and socket.

ABL Services Inc. uses high alloy steel with a special heat treat process that dramatically increases the service life in the body, ball and socket.  This material is turned in our CNC lathe to a very close fit between the ball and socket with a much finer surface finish and tighter tolerance than can be achieved in a sand casting process.  These materials and methods deliver a superior product with much higher service life than competitive products.  In ABL Performer hoist rigging these swivel links routinely operate for a minimum of six months without daily lubrication.
